Hi! My name is Bowie (or Beauty), and six months ago I was found wandering the streets of Detroit. Since I was found, I've been fixed and brought up to date on my shots. I'm a super sweet girl who loves literally EVERYTHING. Dogs? Awesome (so long as they're not mean to me). Cats? Puuurfect! People? Do they have hands to give belly rubs? Then yes! Chickens? Yeah, those guys are cool too!
Are you an active person or family looking to add a loving little girl to your family? I could be the dog for you! I'm about 90% housebroken, and pretty well behaved, although I do require exercise to stay that way. I know sit, and I walk like a lady on a leash. I'm working on "down" and "off". I kinda like to jump on people, but I'm trying really hard to get over that! I just need someone who has time to train me, and wants to take me on walks, or car rides, or go places with me, or maybe try agility or rally events! My foster mom says I'd be perfect for puppy sports!
So here's a run down from my foster mommy
Beauty/Bowie:
Black and White Staffordshire Bull Terrier (probably pure)-
NOT A PIT BULL
Fixed
28 lbs (probably not getting bigger)
~1 yr old
UTD on vaccines until Dec 14.
90% house broken/Crate trained
Started on obedience: knows sit and walks beautifully on a leash
VERY ACTIVE. Will get into trouble (garbage, counters, scales fences) if not provided with enough exercise.
VERY PUPPY LIKE (Bo was a stray until she was maybe 6-8 months, according to her vet records. She has had limited experience being a family dog, but has adjusted very well. Just remember, she probably doesn't know much better than what she's doing, and she needs to be trained)
Gets along great with all other animals (she does not chase my chickens, lives with other dogs, cats, and small animals currently)
Children 10+ okay (not aggressive, just active and bouncy)
Previous terrier experience preferred.
Must be willing to commit to a 6 week obedience course.
Home Visit and Vet references required.
